“Deadly Weekend Crash: Albuquerque Woman Faces Multiple Charges”
A woman is facing charges following a tragic five-vehicle crash that resulted in one fatality and sent three others to the hospital. An arrest warrant revealed that 36-year-old Nikole Zamora was speeding along Lomas Blvd. and running red lights on Sunday night when she collided with a black Cadillac at Second Street. This impact caused the Cadillac to strike three additional vehicles.
The driver of the Cadillac lost their life in the crash, while Zamora was among the three individuals hospitalized. According to the warrant, data from the airbag control module in Zamora’s vehicle indicated she was traveling at 54 miles per hour just prior to the crash and accelerated to 70 miles per hour at the moment of impact.
Zamora has been charged with homicide by vehicle (reckless driving) and great bodily injury by vehicle (reckless driving), among other offenses.
