“Taco Bell Employee Arrested for Armed Assault After Dispute with Co-Worker”
A Taco Bell employee was arrested following an altercation with a co-worker on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 1, in Ruidoso. Police responded to a report of one employee brandishing a firearm at another at the Taco Bell located at 26100 Highway 70.
Upon arrival, officers established communication with individuals inside the restaurant and safely removed three employees before entering the building.
Mark Aragon, 34, was discovered inside and taken into custody. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Ruidoso Police Department’s investigation revealed that the incident began with a physical altercation between Aragon and another employee, escalating when Aragon assaulted the other individual with a handgun.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including state police and the Capitan and Ruidoso Downs police departments, responded to the scene, with assistance from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
