Two San Jose Women Arrested for Alleged Brothel Operation and Human Trafficking

San Jose police have arrested two women on suspicion of human trafficking and operating a brothel. Xiaohong Yang, 55, of Mountain House, and Mei-Chen Juan, 53, of San Jose, were allegedly running the operation from a residence located in the 2700 block of McKee Road, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The arrests followed a month-long investigation by the department’s Human Trafficking Task Force, initiated after receiving multiple community tips. On September 11, authorities executed a search warrant at the suspected brothel, where they discovered two women believed to be survivors of human trafficking. Police reported that these women were provided with necessary resources for their recovery.

Yang and Juan are now facing human trafficking charges and have been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
